Zumba has 8 levels which cater to every age group and fitness level.  It is very important to check and join the right class.  Before you sign up, it is important that you watch some videos on the level to get an about the different dance styles and the moves. 

  1. Zumba Fitness features exotic music and choreographed moves.
  2. Zumba Gold caters to the needs of an older and quite active age group.
  3. Zumba Toning combines body sculpting exercises and high energy cardio.
  4. Zumba in the Circuit is a 30 minute class which combines dance moves with circuit training.  Lots of fun and a sure fire weight loss method.
  5. Aqua Zumba takes place in the pool and includes stretching and twisting.  It is a low impact workout ideal for all age groups and fitness levels.
  6. Zumbatomic aims at the 4 -12 yr age group.  Lots of fun and includes a lot of kid-friendly dance routines.
  7. Zumba Gold Toning offers the best of both worlds – strength training and dancing
  8. Zumba Sentao offers chair based exercise routines which work spectacularly well to balance the core and cardio in a totally different format.

Keep in mind that Zumba is not a pure dance form like Salsa.  It uses moves from different styles and can be quite a high intensity workout, so one has to build up to the next level.  It offers the perfect balance of cardio, core exercises and strength training.
