For minor skin burns, rub a thin slice of raw potato on and around the burn area to soothe it. Avoid applying too much pressure and ensure that the juice from the potato is released over the brunt part. Raw potato is also effective in curbing any irritation around the wound. Best used immediately as a healing agent immediately after the burn occurs.

3.      Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera’s soothing properties calm the wound, which reduces the possibility of blister formation. For this, you require the fresh juice or gel from the plant. Remember to rinse the affected area with cold water or vinegar before applying the juice. Leave on for a few hours. Of course, if you don’t have access to an aloe vera plant, you could also substitute this with a ready available aloe vera gel from the market.

4.      Coconut Oil

One of the easiest and best remedies to treat cracker burns, coconut oil contains Vitamin E and fatty acids like lauric acid, myristic acid and capric acid, all of which are anti-fungal, anti-oxidising and anti-bacterial.
