5 steps to a comfortable shave
Shaving is both science and art. Even the slightest of adjustments can make a big difference. Here are few fundamental steps to achieve a smooth and comfortable shave every time.
1. Wash and Soak
Clean your face and hydrate for 3 minutes prior to shaving-either by taking a hot shower or putting a hot washcloth on your face. This will help open pores and soften the hairs, making your shave more comfortable.
Use a shaving gel to protect your skin. The hydration will help soften hair, and lubrication will help the razor glide across your skin.
Use light, gentle strokes when shaving. The razor should do the work, not you. And remember to follow the grain of the hair when you shave.
4. Rinse and Moisturize
After shaving, rinse your face and neck with cool water to close pores. Then replace lost moisture with an aftershave gel or lotion-preferably alcohol-free.
