Most New Year’s resolutions involve sticking to a healthy diet. Why not kick start your commitment with simple detox veggie recipes like these kale chips? Roast and store in the kitchen for the next time you get a snack craving. This superfood has so many detoxifying elements, vitamins and minerals, you won’t think of reaching for potato chips again.
Ingredients (serves 4 people)
- 1 bunch kale
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Coarse sea salt
- Cumin, chili powder, garlic power (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Clean kale, remove tough ribs and tear into medium-large pieces. Place in a bowl and add olive oil. Use clean fingers to coat kale with olive oil.
Spread on a baking sheet in a single layer. Make sure pieces don’t overlap. Place in oven and bake until crisp.
Remove from oven, sprinkle with pinch of sea salt and toss gently. Sprinkle with other seasoning if desired. Snack away!
