10-Minute Treat - Almond-Stuffed Dates

Mothers are forever tasked with serving snacks and coming up with something new and exciting is a challenge. This combination of sweet, salty, chewy and crunchy textures is sophisticated enough to serve to guests, sweet yet healthy for your children, and sinful enough to enjoy all by yourself.As snacks go, this one ticks all the boxes. Did we mention fast and easy?

Ingredients (serves 6 people)

  1. 24 whole dates
  2. 24 whole almonds
  3. 2 teaspoons olive oil
  4. fleur de sel (sea salt) to taste

  1. Make a small slit in the side of the date and extract the pit.
  2. Stuff with an almond and press the date closed. Repeat with remaining dates.
  3. Heat olive oil in frying pan, add dates in a single layer and sauté for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and season with a sprinkle of your preferred salt.
  5. Serve warm.
