Cold Hands, Warm Scarf
Knit this easy scarf with its lovely big pockets to keep your hands warm in chilly weather.
You will need:
- 7,5mm knitting needles
- 4 x 50g balls of pure cotton
- DK yarn
- large-eyed needle
- dressmaker’ s pins
Step 1 - Work with two strands of yarn throughout to make a lovely thick scarf. Cast on 36 stitches and work 420 rows in garter stitch (every row k) then cast off.

Step 2 - Fold a pocket at each end of the scarf and pin in place at the sides (step 1). Use a large-eyed needle and remnants of yarn to sew up the side seams of the pocket with overcast stitch.
