5 Benefits Of Fruit Facials For Skin And Steps To Do It At Home

Fruits are as good for us inside as they can be outside. Eating fresh fruits gives fibre and other needed nutrients, and also makes our skin glow. Have you also tried a fruit facial? I hear it’s an amazing experience.

Fruits are part of nature’s spa. The goodness they contain is beneficial for us, inside and outside. But there’s so much more to fruits than just eating them. Have you tried a fruit facial?

5 Benefits Of Fruit Facial That You Must Know:

#1 Revive skin

When you feed your skin some fruit therapy you revive skin that has been subjected to the environment and product overuse. Blood circulation improves, new cell production gets kicked in, and you get fresher, younger skin.

#2 Moisturiser

Give a zing to dull and dry skin with a fruit facial. The enzymes in the fruit will naturally moisturise and leave you with baby-soft, supple skin.

#3 Blemish control

Some fruits, like the papaya, contain elements that can fade marks and blemishes. You can also use a fruit facial to remove that summer tan.

#4 Exfoliates

One of my favourite fruit facial benefits is that fruits are natural exfoliating agents. The natural scrub gently removes the top layer and all trapped impurities, leaving behind gorgeous skin.

#5 Deep cleansing

Stubborn pores get unclogged with fruit facials. Say goodbye to acne, blackheads, whiteheads and pimples.

Instead of heading over to a salon for this delicious treat, why don’t you try one of these fruit facial recipes at home?

#2 Cucumber and milk fruit facial for oily skin:

This summer fruit cools and soothes skin. It will clear up pores of any excessive oil and sebum, leaving you with healthy, clean and fresh-looking skin.

You will need:

  • ½ a cucumber
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Making the pack:

  1. Peel and puree the cucumber.
  2. In a separate bowl, add milk, honey and brown sugar, and mix it all well.
  3. Now add the cucumber puree.
  4. Apply this mask to your face and let it sit for 20 minutes.
  5. Wash if off with cool water and dry your face to reveal bright skin.

#3 Tomato fruit facial for dry skin:

Let’s first wrap our head around the fact that tomato is a fruit. Just don’t add it to fruit salad next time, though.

Tomatoes cleanse and exfoliate, removing dry skin cells from the surface to allow new ones to come forth, giving you glowing, rejuvenated and younger-looking skin.

You will need:

  • 1 tomato
  • 1 tablespoon oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon yogurt

Making the pack:

  1. Blend the tomatoes into a lumpy puree.
  2. Mix in the oatmeal and the yogurt.
  3. Slather your face and neck with this.
  4. Wash it off after 10 minutes.
  5. You can also swap the yogurt for milk and honey.

Try fruit facials at home the next time you want to pamper yourself. Believe me, you’ve earned it.
