From Darkness To Light: 3 Ways To Let Your Knees Shine

While there seems to be a product invented for every beauty problem, the few that are available for dark knees are either ineffective or expensive. Fortunately, the real, hardworking solution lies in your kitchen.

The knees have a tough job to do. They not only have to stay strong to support body weight, they’re also subjected to constant bending, leaning, kneeling and constant rubbing with rough denims or other materials. To add to their woes, they are often an ignored area in the everyday moisturizing ritual. As a result, they end up becoming a hotbed of dead skin cells which if not removed, react with the oxygen in the air and turn dark.  Fortunately, this is not a medical condition but a beauty condition and hence, can be treated as one.

If you’re wondering how to get rid of dark knees and lighten them, a bit of patience and a lot of diligence can make the journey a smooth one. Here is a list of 3 effective natural home remedies for dark knees which show you how to lighten dark knees with ingredients easily found in your kitchen.

A word of advice: While home remedies are chemical-free and safer on the skin, always first checkto see if you are allergic to any one of the ingredients used in these treatments. The best way to ensure this is by applying a test patch and leaving it on for a few minutes. If you experience any skin irritation or burning sensation, discontinue the treatment immediately and consult a doctor.
