Seven-Step Cleanup Routine

Step 1 – Cleanse
Begin by cleansing your face. Soak a wad of cotton wool in the homemade milk cleanser and wipe it gently but firmly across your face in upward strokes. Don’t forget your ears and neck.
Step 2 – Steam
Once your face is cleaned, steam your face using a facial steamer that is easily available or you can pour boiling water into a bowl with a few drops of essential oil. Keep your face a few inches away from the bowl or steamer and cover your head with a towel. After three to five minutes, wipe your face with cotton wool, gentle but firm. Pay attention to the areas around the nose and across the jawline.
Step 3 – Exfoliate
Now you are ready to scrub your skin and get rid of any more dead cells on your skin. Wet your face and apply the mixture of sugar and honey using a circular motion. Leave it on for three to five minutes, and wash it off and pat dry.
Step 4 – Mask
Apply the face pack that you have made or a store-bought pack on your face and neck using clean hands. Set the timer for 20-30 minutes, and lie down. You can dip some cotton wool in ice cold water and place on your eyes. It is refreshing and can help with eye fatigue and redness. After the pack dries, wash it off with ice cold water.
Step 5– Tone
After drying your face, apply the chilled rose water and cucumber juice toner on your skin using cotton wool. You can store this toner in a spray bottle and spritz it on your skin throughout the day in summer or when it needs hydrating.
