Get The Perfect Look in 10 minutes

Rushed, multitasking and over-committed? Regardless of how little time you have, you can still look fabulous – in the wink of an eye…

Girl-next-door:

On weekends and slow days, the last thing you feel like doing is fussing over the way you look, but then, of course, you’re destined to bump into someone you know! Instead of hiding behind the freshly baked croissants, follow these easy steps and give them a confident smile.

Perfect in 10 minutes Girl-next-door make-up
  1. Start with tinted cream to even out your complexion. It’s as easy as applying day cream.
  2. Cover the worst offenders with a touch of concealer and then add cream blusher for pretty rosy cheeks if you’re fair, or apply a bronzer for warmth if your complexion is dark.
  3. Follow with mascara to enhance your eyes and a touch of powder on your T-panel if you need it.
  4. Lipgloss is the easiest and quickest way to complete the look.
  5. Finally, embrace your hair’s natural texture but use a serum to smooth ratty ends.

9-to-5 make-up:

You need to look pulled together every day, which can be exhausting. These easy steps will ensure that you come across as professional, well-groomed and confident in record time, and with energy to spare.

Perfect in 10 minutes 9-to-5 make-up
  1. Apply long-wearing foundation where you need coverage (with a light hand) and follow with concealer if needed.
  2. A light application of loose powder keeps foundation and concealer in place.
  3. Next, define your eyes with gel eye-liner and follow with a medium-toned neutral shade of eye shadow to enhance your eyes. Apply two coats of mascara.
  4. Comb brows, then add a swirl of bronzer to your cheeks, forehead and décolleté for warmth. If you need more colour, swirl a pop of pink or peach blusher onto the apples of your cheeks.
  5. Lastly, apply a medium-toned long-wearing lipstick rather than a deep shade, so that it’s easy to touch up and not as obvious if the colour lifts.
  6. Regular trims, colour touch-ups and the right hair-care products ensure that hair looks fabulous. Tie long hair back or add controlled texture to short hair. Keep
quirky hair accessories for weekends.

Quick girly glam:

This look suits everyone, it is timeless and elegant and, because it’s stylised, it’s easy to do but looks fantastic. For dark skin, use a deep plummy lipstick together with rich plum blusher for a pop of colour on your cheeks – it looks magnificent.

Perfect in 10 minutes Quick girly glam make-up
  1. Apply a powder or mineral foundation to suit your skin tone – they’re quick to apply, stay on and are easy to touch up.
  2. Using a liquid or a gel eyeliner, line your top lids, winging the application out slightly to enhance the shape of your eyes. Follow with lashings of mascara on your upper lashes only.
  3. Add blusher in a pretty rosy shade and follow with a strong lip colour. For added glamour, dust a silvery highlighter (if you’re fair) or a warm golden highlighter over your cheek-bones (if your complexion is dark)
  4. Glam hair doesn’t have to be styled to within an inch of its life. For long hair, secure the ponytail at the nape of your neck for an elegant look. If you have short hair, apply a little texturiser but keep the style soft and feminine.

Smokin’

This smoky eye is fast and versatile and can be worn with your favourite pair of jeans or little black dress. Because the colour palette is neutral, you can change your mind about what to wear at the last minute without having to change your make-up.

Perfect in 10 minutes Smokin' make-up
  1. Begin with eye shadow rather than foundation so eye shadow spills are quick to clean up. Define eyes with a shimmering graphite-coloured eye shadow applied with a sponge-tipped applicator across eyelids and under your eyes. Then use a clean brush to blend so that there are no hard lines.
  2. Add intensity with a waterproof eyeliner on the inside of your eyes and three coats of mascara.
  3. Enhance your brows and apply a nude lipstick.
  4. Finish with a touch of blusher in a neutral tone or a matte bronzer.
  5. Upstyles look glamorous, especially when they’ve come undone. Take your hair up and arrange it in a messy updo, but resist the urge to fiddle too much. As long as your hair is well maintained and shiny and
is still touchable (use a little spray if you have to, but
keep the look soft) it will look glamorous.
