4 Perfect Ponytails For The Working Woman.

4 Perfect Ponytails For The Working Woman

Although many women put in long hours at the office and don’t have a lot of time to get their hair styled, that doesn’t mean they can’t create salon-worthy looks. With minimal effort and time, they can achieve a stylish and attractive look for work. Here are 4 different techniques of turning that ponytail into a stylish statement!

We all struggle with the sheer amount of things that need to be done before heading out to work – there is the herculean task of waking up, maybe exercising, eating a healthy breakfast, choosing your outfit and accessories for the day, taking a shower and leaving. With all these tasks in mind, we often neglect our hair – or more specifically, how we style it. We run a comb through it, wrap it up into a bun or a low maintenance ponytail and dash out the door.

However, what if you could add some flair, to your hair? Here are 4 different ponytail styles that can transform you from functional to fashionable, with some few simple tweaks.

4 Ponytails For Working Women

Ponytail Hairstyle #1: Invert It

Feeling tired of the same old ponytail in the morning? How about a (literal) twist on the classic ponytail? The inverted ponytail is simple –

1)      Gather your hair into a ponytail (you can decide how high or low it needs to be)

2)     Part the area above your elastic hairband, creating a hole.

3)     Pull your ponytail upwards and loop it through the hole – pull your ponytail out the other end of the hole.

4)     Adjust the ponytail as required and use a little hairspray to keep it in place!

5)     If you want, you can braid the top of your hair, in the style of a French ponytail, before tying the rest of your hair and inverting it through your band.

Ponytail Hairstyle #2: The Right Side

Whether you’ve woken up on the wrong, or the right side of the bed, a side ponytail is the simplest answer to a stylish look for the day.

1)      Comb your hair towards one side of your head

2)     Secure it into a ponytail with an elastic hairband.

3)     You can add a little extra to it by curling your ponytail, or if you have bangs, combing them to the same side the ponytail is on.

Ponytail Hairstyle #3: The Parting of Ways

Fashionable, sleek and low maintenance are just a few words you could use to describe this sleek side parted ponytail.

1)      Comb any knots from your hair and create a deep side part (the more to the side, the better)

2)     Gather the rest of your hair to make a neat ponytail and secure it firmly with an elastic band so that it doesn’t slip off during the day.

3)     You can add some style to the look by taking some strands from the underside of the ponytail and wrapping it around your hairband. (Secure this with bobby pins)

Ponytail Hairstyle #4: The Fuller Life

Want a longer, thicker ponytail?  There is a simple way.

1)      Pull the hair above your ears and near the crown of your head and gather it together.

2)     Secure this portion of your hair with an elastic band (you can use the few strands of your hair to cover the band). Make this a high ponytail hairstyle.

3)     Once you are done with tying your hair, let it fall down your back, as a messy ponytail hairstyle.

4)     Voila! You now have a thick ponytail.

All it takes are a few twists, a couple of bobby pins and a little bit of hair spray and you can turn that simply ponytail into a fashion statement!
